Administration and warehouse facilities were located at different sites, complicating coordination between them. And to make matters worse, office space had long since reached its limits. Having experienced continuous growth, WZB Wachsmuth & Ziesche Bauunternehmung GmbH had been looking for a new location for its company headquarters for quite a long time. And the Hamburg-based firm finally found just the right place in Geesthacht – where it erected a new building to state-of-the-art energy standards. A neighborhood reinvents itself - Some 1,800 residential units under construction in Berlin-Spandau’s “Haveluferquartier”
Inverted roof construction with JACKODUR® for the extensive vegetation. Sustainable living: Along the banks of the Havel River, one of Germany’s most exciting urban development projects is under construction. In the “Haveluferquartier” (or Havel Riverbank district), which covers about 10 hectares (25 acres), a total of 1,800 apartments are to be built by 2024, both as new construction and as renovation of existing structures. Largest communal inclusion project - A festival for more social participation
JACKON by BEWI is a local supporter of the Host Town Arendsee - Berlin will witness a sports event full of superlatives this summer from 17 to 25 June: the Special Olympics World Games will be taking place in Germany for the first time. In all, 190 delegations from around the world with about 7,000 athletes are expected and they will be competing in 26 different sports. They will be supported in their competitions by over 1,000 so-called Unified Partners who are individuals without intellectual disabilities. Read more
