Sustainable contribution to climate protection: JACKON Insulation wins “Top-Klima-Engagement 2021” label!
07.03.2022 - A convincing contribution to the environment: JACKON Insulation is one of 130 companies in Germany to win the “Top-Klima-Engagement 2021” label from FOCUS and For Our Planet.
The German news magazine, FOCUS, and the Burda Media For Our Planet initiative intensively carried out research, analysed data from an online survey and looked at various criteria relating to a commitment to the climate to draw up the league table of particularly committed companies from a wide range of industries. The result: JACKON Insulation secured itself one of the top spots within the construction industry – in two ways at once: the company demonstrates its long-standing, sustained commitment to the reduction in greenhouse gases in addition to contributing to active climate protection with its XPS products.
The insulation expert has implemented numerous measures in recent years, aimed at resolutely saving energy and consequently, emissions. To name just one example: the absolute carbon footprint at the production site in Arendsee has been reduced by twelve percent from 2016 to 2020 – whilst production volumes have risen every year!
JACKODUR® and JACKOBOARD® are bestsellers when it comes to improving the energy balance of buildings and increasing comfort in the home with individually beautified bathrooms. While the raw material requirements of products made from extruded polystyrene are low, the savings effects over decades of building use are high - with better energy efficiency and lower heating energy consumption.
Moreover, JACKON systems offer builders and owners a high degree of security by permanently protecting the fabric of the building. The environmental footprint is improved still further by taking back offcuts and the opportunity for polystyrene recycling.
