New year, new energy: JACKON Insulation by BEWI is switching to 100 percent renewable energy at its Arendsee site

06.02.2025 - JACKON Insulation by BEWI is taking another important step towards sustainability and climate protection: since the beginning of the year, all production at the Arendsee site has been running exclusively on electricity from renewable energy sources. This significantly reduces the company's carbon footprint and underlines its responsibility for the environment. The use of a resource-saving energy supply for the production site is part of a comprehensive sustainability strategy.

The switch to green electricity from renewable energy sources such as sunlight, wind and water is an important part of the long-term corporate strategy, which is based on consistently sustainable energy consumption. In addition to the switch to green electricity, the company is continuously working on further measures to gradually reduce emissions throughout the entire production chain.

“Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. As a company with high electricity consumption, using electricity from 100% renewable resources is an important contribution to actively promoting the energy transition. Our goal is to continue to reduce the environmental impact of our products and to keep it as low as possible over the long term,” emphasizes Dr. Mark Plate, Sustainability Manager at JACKON Insulation by BEWI. The switch to 100% green electricity is an important step that reinforces JACKON Insulation by BEWI's commitment to manufacturing products that have the smallest possible environmental footprint.

The company wants to send another signal of its commitment to a more sustainable future. For example, JACKON Insulation by BEWI received the globally recognized Operation Clean Sweep certification at the end of 2024, which confirms the successful avoidance of plastic waste at the two production sites in Arendsee and Olen (Belgium).
