As a renowned specialist in extruded polystyrene foam (XPS) for insulation, construction, and industrial applications, JACKON Insulation by BEWI has made a substantial investment in this expansion. “The plant technology was designed with the highest levels of automation and robotics. This enables us to manufacture products of the highest quality to meet future market requirements," emphasizes Michael Schneider, Managing Director of JACKON Insulation by BEWI.
Commitment to Sustainability and Efficiency
Sustainability was a key focus during the plant’s planning phase. The use of green energy and a significant proportion of recycled General Purpose Polystyrene (rGPPS) in the XPS production optimises the CO2 footprint of the construction boards. Producing the core material on-site and reducing transport distances significantly lowers emissions and costs. These logistical benefits, along with process optimisations geared towards sustainability, lead to higher efficiency, improved quality standards, and reduced emissions.
“We are delighted with the inauguration of the new production line. The expanded capacity allows us to ensure high delivery reliability while providing personalized service for our customers. Additionally, the increased use of recycled materials in our products significantly reduces our CO2 footprint, offering added environmental benefits to our customers,” affirms Benoît Bertucat, Category Manager Construction Board at JACKON Insulation by BEWI.
Innovative and Durable Products
The XPS construction boards, marketed under the brand JACKOBOARD®, are known for their durability and waterproof properties. These boards offer a variety of customised product solutions, accelerating interior construction projects, especially the development and modernisation of bathrooms and sanitary rooms.
Operating in Olen since 2001, JACKON Insulation by BEWI’s latest capacity expansion underscores a strong commitment on the site. “This development not only secures existing jobs but is also expected to lead to further growth in the workforce,” adds Michael Schneider.
