Endless possibilities with JACKOBOARD® - even in the most complicated bathrooms

The Edinburgh Bathroom Installers are working with JACKOBOARD^® regularly, how long do you already work with it and which product properties of the JACKOBOARD construction board system convince you the most? What do you appreciate most? 

Andy: We have been working with JACKOBOARD^® for over 6 years now. It gives us absolute confidence that we are leaving a high quality job that will stand the test of time. 

Why do you recommend it to your customers?

Andy: We don’t recommend it to our customers as such but we wouldn’t install a wet area without it, it comes as standard when we install a bathroom! However we do promote it within the industry to other bathroom installers and trades people at any opportunity we get, usually through our social media pages.

What are the great advantages of JACKOBOARD^® when you work with it every day, like you do?

Andy: We find JACKOBOARD^® very easy to use, it’s lightweight, easy to cut and can be cut to pretty much any shape easily with minimal effort. 

You are a very creative bathroom installer, with a perfect solution for every kind of bathroom. In how far does JACKOBOARD^® contribute to finding the best solutions for your customers´ bathroom requirements ?

Andy: We have not yet found a job that we can’t use JACKOBOARD^® on, the range is extensive. From waterproofing walls, to wet floors, seats, shelves, tiled basins etc.  

How has JACKOBOARD contributed to turning the small, awkwardly shaped bathroom with the curved wall into this spacious wet room?

Andy: We use JACKOBOARD^® Flexo Plus on curved walls to get the walls perfectly plumb with a consistent radius which allows for the perfect finish when tiling. 

What are the advantages of the JACKOBOARD^® shower elements (compared to other solutions)?

Andy: We feel JACKOBOARD^® is unmatched on quality. It’s lightweight yet very strong and easy to cut. The fact that it complements insulation, stops condensation and helps prevent heat loss from the room makes it the perfect solution for us. 

What are the most important JACKOBOARD^® products for you and your daily work?  

Andy: Our most used products are 12mm JACKOBOARD^® and washers, we use this daily in wet areas to replace plasterboard. 

How would you describe the secret of your company’s success?

Andy: Customer satisfaction and word of mouth. We achieve this by making sure the job is done to a high standard from start to finish. The prep work is a huge part of this.
